Country singer Taylor Swift is happy to be single and believes that love will come calling, when she will be least expecting it. The 20-year-old singer claims she is too busy working to “wallow” in her single status, Contactmusic reported.
“There’s a lot to distract me from dating. I don’t really sit around and wallow in being alone. It’s in my comfort zone, being single. I feel that a lot happens to you when you’re not looking for it, so I’m not actively looking. I don’t have a problem with being single,” Swift said.
The Love Story hitmaker, who previously romanced ‘Jonas Brothers’ star Joe Jonas, insists her relaxed attitude towards love comes from observing her friends and their relationships.
“All my friends in high school would always go from boyfriend to boyfriend and they were never alone because they hated being alone. I never want to be that way,” Swift said.
“I don’t know how many are scared off. I try to be an approachable person and I don’t have a bunch of bodyguards or a big entourage. I’m just a normal person,” she added.
The 2010 Country Music Television Awards might stir up some drama between Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and Kellie Pickler. The three Country BFF’s are all nominated for the coveted Female Video of the Year Award! There are eight nominees in the category, including veteran Reba McEntire and newcomer Laura Bell Bundy.
If that wasn’t enough, Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me”, Carrie Underwood’s “Cowboy Casanova” and Kellie Pickler’s “Didn’t You Know How much I Loved You” are also up for the biggest award of the night, Video of the Year.
Taylor Swift and Kellie Pickler might just get to take home Collaborative Video of The Year for “Best Days Of Your Life.” Then at least two out of the three will get to celebrate together.
If this year’s awards are anything like last year’s, T-Swizzle might steal the show for the second year in a row. But, something tells us that these ladies will be happy to celebrate with each other, no matter what the outcome.
