“Speak Now” debuts at #6 in the UK charts this week! Congratulations Taylor, you really deserve this! Keep buying the album guys, avoid downloading illegal versions and let’s see what will happen to her album next week if it’s on high position. Read below:
Kings of Leon continue their reign at the top of the UK album chart with latest release Come Around Sundown.
The Tennessee rock band maintained pole position as a new version of Michael Bublé’s Crazy Love, and new releases in the form of Joe McElderry’s Wide Awake and The Wanted’s self-titled album, failed to outperform them.
Three more albums also made their debut within the top ten, as Taylor Swift’s Speak Now arrives at six, Barbra Streisand lands at eight with The Ultimate Collection and The Soldiers, a group of British Army personnel, settle in at ten with Letters Home.
Elsewhere on the chart, Elton John and Leon Russell’s The Union lands at 12, while Bryan Ferry manages to sneak into the top 20 with this week’s number 19, Olympia.
Meanwhile, The Beatles fail to retain their spots in the top section of the chart, as the reissuing of their greatest hits from 1967-70 and 1962-1966 slip to 16 and 17 respectively.
